We are proud to present you with details about a very unique club with an impressive history and a bright future that offers all you would expect from a lawn bowls Club.      

Its often said by those that play lawn bowls that their 'biggest regret' is they didnt start earlier so dont become a 'statistic'.   If you would like to know about our Club and how you can be involved  - read on.

Club Members Testimonial  "I'd played  a lot of competitive sport in the past  but with a young family had not participated in a club sport for quite a few years. In 2004 I visited the Camp Hill Bowls Club to enquire about bowls and was soon out on the green having my first lesson. Within a few months I was playing club competitions, social games and pennants. Camp Hill is a great club where members and visitors alike enjoy having a bowl often in family or social groups. Camp Hill has a fantastic location within pleasant surrounds and offers great views of the City Skyline from the green.

The Camp Hill Community & Sporting Club Inc. is known by locals and visitors alike as a friendly place to gather - whether you are:

• A serious bowler looking to be part of a great team (Men's and Ladies' Clubs)
• A casual bowler looking for some outdoor fun.
• Celebrating a birthday, wedding or coprorate function looking for a great venue, only 6 km from the Brisbane CBD (with a huge FREE car park).
• Just looking for a little personal or family fun - our club is gated so kids can run around at their leisure and our restaurant is open to the public.

No matter what level you are , our Club allows you to exercise your competitive spirit in an atmoshpere of great companionship, camarderie and social interaction.

We have a licenced clubhouse, with full bar facilities and restaurant open to the public where you can celebrate your success or just sit back and relax!

Unlike some larger "Leagues"-style clubs, we are a small family-oriented club which is why families find our atmosphere so warm and inviting.

Our Club is located on Ferguson Road, Camp Hill (Refidex Map 161 - C18) with a magnificent view over Brisbane's CBD.

Casual Bowling

Casual, or "barefoot" bowling is available to members of the public. The Club is open Tuesdays to Sundays. You can just turn up but for groups it is always a good idea to book ahead.

We will provide the use of a set of bowls for all players, as well as a "jack" (small white ball) and mat - and away you go. Full bar facilities are available to help make your day a truly memorable one. The cost is just $5 per head and up to 8 players can play in each game, with children 6-12 bowling for only $2.50 each.

You are welcome to enjoy food or beverages either in the clubhouse or on the bank around all edges of the green, but to avoid accidental breakages or spills, we ask that food and drink be kept off the green itself.

How to Play

0. The game consists of 4 bowls for each player, the small white "jack" and a mat.
0. The aim is to get your bowls closer to the jack than your opponents. If you wish to score, you earn 1 point for all of your bowls that are closer to the jack than any of your opponents, hence in singles, you can score a maximum of 4 'shots' per end. Why not try it in teams where the same principles apply!
0. Bowls are weighted so they roll in a curve, not a straight line. Each bowl has a distinctive symbol or icon - a larger one on one side and a smaller on the other. The bowl will curve around in the direction of the smaller icon.
0. To play, roll or place the jack at the other end of the rink, then each player in turn delivers their bowls from the mat. When finished, repeat the process from the other end back to where you started. 

 Club Bowling

The Camp Hill Bowls Club Inc. is made up of Men's and Ladies' Club and both welcome full, junior or social membership.

• We welcome all ages and abilities, and will provide free coaching for any new members. Our Club has junior members and a great across-the-board range of ages, so whatever your "age or stage ", you'll feel at home. We also have special techniques that allow those with limited mobility to bowl and have fun.
• The Club can provide you with free use of a set of club bowls to get you started.

• We play all year round with a range of competition at Social, Club, Inter Club and Pennant levels. The calendar varies, but normally Men play on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, and Ladies on Thursday mornings and Saturdays.
• There are a range of membership fees, but all categories are under $100 per year, and to cover costs, there is a contribution made each time you play in a club event, normally around $10.
